Hunters hear early morning vocalizations near Mossy Rock
The witness and her husband were hunting in a clear-cut next to timber in the morning when they heard two loud human-like screams from the stand of trees. Both heard the second scream very close by. The witness associated the sound with Bigfoot vocalizations she had heard in documentaries and said neither she nor her husband had ever heard anything like it.

While elk hunting on a ridge, the witness found large tracks in patches of snow and photographed them. Shortly after taking the photos, a rock was thrown from about 150 meters away and dislodged other rocks downslope. About eight years before the phone interview, the witness was riding horses with his wife on a logging road in wooded country when he saw a dark animal cross the road a couple hundred yards ahead. The animal moved quickly on all fours using long arms and then disappeared into vegetation. The couple rode to the crossing spot, where their horses became frightened and refused to continue, behavior the witness said was unlike their reactions to bears.

While lying on a couch at night watching a deer through a window gap, the witness saw the deer flee from a large bulky animal running on all fours. The deer stopped under bright lights at a power plant area which the pursuer would not enter. The animal then stood upright and walked on two legs across the highway and over a guardrail up a hill.

In November 1998 the witness and a companion were truck camping on a gravel overlook between two lakes to hunt elk. In the evening while sitting by a fire they heard a loud screaming howl from the treeline about 100 yards away that seemed to move closer. They also heard what sounded like logs or limbs being thrown toward them and spent the night in the truck cab.

The witness and a companion were cutting cedar blocks by a creek when they heard a loud, long drawn-out scream resembling a man yelling for help coming from below them. The sound was loud enough to be heard over a running powersaw and was heard three times over several minutes before stopping. No creature was seen and no roads were noted below the sound's location.

The witness and a cousin were resting against a tree while hunting when they heard a loud moan rising to a prolonged scream from several hundred yards away. A few minutes later they heard a much louder similar scream that sounded immediately behind the tree. They did not see anything, heard something move away through brush, then left for the logging road where other hunters had heard nothing.

In spring 1981 the witness was camping with family and hiking off-trail when the group found a large footprint on the edge of a creek. Water was running over the print, suggesting it was fresh. The find was kept private for years until reported, and an investigator later documented its size.

In 1980 a teenage witness walking up a long driveway by dense brush heard something bipedal pacing her from cover, seeing only treetops move. That night she and her sister heard very loud repeated whoop-like calls followed by a long sad wailing cry from the woods behind their unfinished house. She interpreted the daytime pacing and nighttime calls as connected and attributed them to Bigfoot.

The witness reported finding large five-toed tracks measuring 13-14 inches long and 6-7 inches wide. The find occurred at the edge of a clear cut overlooking Packwood from the south while cutting wood. No creature was seen.
"Brinson Monster"
In 1966 or 1967, several high school students parked at an abandoned farm in the evening reported seeing a tall light-colored upright animal with red eyes watching them. The story spread through the high school where it became known as the Brinson Monster. The narrator notes people at the time did not connect it to Bigfoot or Sasquatch.
High School friends camping at Rainbow Falls State Park hear vocalizations near Chehalis
The witness and about ten friends were camping at Rainbow Falls State Park during the summer. After the campfire was out, the witness and one companion lay awake in a tent and heard a distant high-pitched howling sound they joked sounded like screeching tires.
