The witness reports ongoing nighttime visits at a rental property since March 2012. He hears sounds, smells odor, and sees a shadowy figure run toward the woods. He believes it is a female with a child that steals fruit, garbage and fish, and says the figures watch people in the yard and peer through windows.

Around midnight the witness went outside to take trash to the street and saw a tall broad-shouldered silhouette with long hair standing above a 6-foot fence. She first thought it was a person or a trick of light but felt uneasy and went back inside after judging it too tall for a person. The next day she found nothing at the fence that could explain the shape, and her dog behaved unusually restless after being let outside.

The witness was alone in a remote primitive cabin just after dark on a mid-October evening when she heard repeated loud knocking sounds for 15-20 minutes and then gravel hitting the tin roof. She saw nothing outside and stayed inside with a gun until her husband returned. Her husband later fired guns into the woods and found a fired bullet standing upright in the outdoor shower the next morning.

The witness and her husband were sitting in their parked car at an overgrown abandoned graveyard at night. She heard branches breaking, felt watched, and noticed a foul odor, then watched a very tall bulky figure standing between pines and swaying side to side for several minutes before leaving. Her companion in the passenger seat did not see the figure, reportedly because of dashboard light glare.

The witness and a teenage helper were hauling cut branches on a relative's wooded property in the late afternoon when they heard three loud, deep whoop-like sounds from a swampy area. The witness could not match the sound to known local wildlife and briefly considered Bigfoot before dismissing it. He later checked whooping crane recordings online and concluded that was not the sound heard.

The witness and companion were hiking in the Franklin Creek area when they found a large footprint by the creek about two miles from the parking lot. They had to leave to return before dark and heavy rain. The creek later flooded and washed the print away.

The witness and his wife sat on his truck tailgate at a power-line clearing late at night when they heard snorting, brush breaking, and a loud growl/grunt moving up a steep hill toward them. The witness saw a large shadow moving on the slope in moonlight, heard breathing and stomping, and smelled a musky sour odor. After revving the truck engine the sounds crashed rapidly downhill, and the pair left, seeing deer run across the road as they drove out.

The witness and two young relatives were riding three-wheelers by a creek and had dismounted to walk through woods when they encountered a strong sewage-like odor followed by a loud guttural roar. Frightened, they left their vehicles and ran uphill to the family residence. Family members who returned to the site with them still noticed the odor but found no source.

The witness and a companion were riding horses at night along a dirt road bordered by ditches, woods and pastures when the horses became nervous. The witness heard something moving parallel to them in the woods, keeping pace even as they urged the horses from a gallop to a full run across several fence lines. The parallel movement stopped where the woods ended at the edge of the witness's property. A later search by truck found where something had been, but the creature was never seen.

At around 10 p.m. in 1963, the witness was lying in bed trying to sleep when heavy footsteps passed the bedroom window. The witness saw a huge shadow moving bipedally with a human-like walk, described as taller than a man, then heard a loud low-pitched moan. Frightened, the witness ran to the parents' bedroom sobbing and shaking.
Scream Heard in a Cypress Swamp outside Ft. Myers
Around mid-summer 1982 or 1983, the witness and a companion were camping in a wet cypress swamp in Lee County after dark. After building a campfire, they heard a single deep, drawn-out scream from the swamp less than a mile away, after which insects went silent. They saw and smelled nothing, broke camp immediately and left on foot.
