Recollection of seeing a hair covered creature squatting next to a road near Waterloo

The witness and a companion were driving past a grassy roadside area in the early evening when they noticed a dark-haired creature squatted in the grass beside the road with its back to them. The creature kept its head down and appeared to search through the grass with its hands, showing no concern for the passing car. The witnesses turned the car around for another look, but the creature had left, and they did not get out to investigate.
