While bow-hunting, the witness heard repeated loud knocks from nearby woods lasting many minutes, then later heard brush rustling moving toward an elk call. After repositioning along a road, the witness heard a final very loud knock from a large tree about 30 yards away and left the area as darkness fell. A hunting companion nearby reported hearing a couple of knocks.

A witness camping with two relatives heard repeated whoop sounds and felt watched during an early-evening hike, then ran back to camp. Overnight the group heard heavy slow footsteps outside the tent, and around 4 a.m. noticed a strong foul dirty-animal odor. By morning the tent and tarp were found marked with a strong urine-like smell, and the tarp was left behind.

The witness and a relative were lying in a tent at a forest camp at night when they heard a bipedal approach, a fast high-pitched whooping sound, and circling movement around the tent lasting much of the night. The presence at times breathed audibly next to the tent and ran off with heavy-sounding footsteps before returning quietly. In the morning they looked for tracks but found too much forest litter to see any.
Late Arriving Campers Hear Running, Stomping, Shrieking, Howling
Three people had laid out sleeping bags for the night at Kitson Springs when they heard rustling, loud stomping, and prolonged shrieking and howling nearby. They did not see the source and remained still while the sounds continued and then moved up a hillside into the distance. In the morning they made only a brief check and reported no tracks.

The witness and a companion hiked about three miles into a wilderness area and stopped in a small meadow. From the surrounding trees they heard heavy footsteps and low soft grunting as an unseen source circled them twice over about ten minutes. Becoming uneasy, they walked out, stopped to listen, then hurried to their car while discussing the possibility it was Bigfoot.

The witness and a cousin stopped for lunch in a small clearing while scouting in dense mountain forest. They heard loud snapping and movement circling the clearing, then the cousin fired a handgun into the air. A loud low-to-high roar answered, and repeated yells pursued them as they ran downhill for about a mile without ever seeing the source.
