In late August 2012, the witness was exploring the edge of a swamp with a relative when a very heavy pine root fell from high in the air and landed nearby. The witness watched its trajectory and judged it too heavy to have been thrown by a person, noting no one should reasonably be in the swamp at that season. No creature was seen during this incident.

Two campers on a sandbar heard a loud scream, heavy bipedal footsteps and splashes in the creek after dark. When they left the tent with flashlights they saw large green eyes without visible pupils a short distance away on their path. After verbal warnings shots were fired toward the eyes, which advanced a few steps instead of fleeing, prompting the pair to call for help to leave the woods.
Late afternoon sighting at creek, about fifteen miles NW of Paris
The witness was on a walk in woods near a creek below her property and sat on a natural log bridge. She twice viewed through binoculars a brown, hairy, bipedal creature about 50 to 75 yards away that appeared frozen mid-stride in a bent-over stance staring toward her, then could not find it on a third look. She heard nothing further, waited some time, and continued her walk about ten minutes later without further incident.
