Recalling possible daylight sighting near Trout Lake as Mount St. Helens erupts

The witness, then nine years old, was traveling with family on Highway 141 to collect rocks on the morning Mount St. Helens erupted. From about 200 yards away the witness saw a very tall, big brown figure run across the highway in two steps with arms swinging during an observation of about two seconds. The parents, who were looking out the side windows, did not see the figure.
