The witness was stargazing with friends in a foggy open field at night when she noticed a dark, shadowy figure standing in tall grass some distance away observing the group. She tried to alert companions who did not see it, then left for the campfire out of fear. Later the group heard coyotes howling for several minutes before they stopped abruptly, and nothing further happened that night.

In mid-May 2013 at early dusk, the witness stopped on a remote dirt road to photograph horses. After putting the car in gear she saw a large dark bipedal figure leap from a hillside across the road into a ravine in under ten seconds. She drove to the crossing point but saw nothing further and later noted the fence there was bent.

While deer hunting, the witness walked through a field and found odd tracks in deep snow. He knelt for a closer look and noted they had human-like toes. He photographed the tracks, which headed north across his property and were estimated to be at least thirteen inches long.

The witness was waiting in a field to turkey hunt around dawn when he heard two distant, high-pitched calls from near the river a few seconds apart. He described the sounds as like a child's yell and unlike any animal he knew, and he heard no answering deeper call. No visual, odor, or tracks were noted with this vocalization event.

While driving to work in the morning, the witness saw a large reddish-brown long-haired animal crossing the road on all fours. The animal moved smoothly and unhurriedly to the opposite side and disappeared into thick vegetation near a creek. The witness noted a flat human-like chest, head set directly on the shoulders, and knuckle-walking, and interpreted it as a juvenile.
Possible night-time visit at campsite near Esto
The witness and a companion camped in thick woods and settled in their tent for the night. After about an hour they heard loud thuds like heavy footsteps circling the campsite and limbs breaking, approaching within a few feet of the tent. They then heard deep gorilla-like grunts before the sounds moved away toward a creek, and they remained in the tent frightened until daylight without seeing anything.
