Two bikers hear strange sound near "Lost Nation"

Two people stopped to rest while mountain biking on a wooded trail when they heard a very loud, low growl-like sound from a distance that could be felt as well as heard. The sound repeated a couple minutes later at about the same distance, but nothing was ever seen. They joked about it being Bigfoot but could not explain it.
