Possible daylight sighting while walking a dog on a bikeway near Jamestown
The witness was walking a puppy along a bikeway when the dog began barking. Ahead, the witness saw a very large dark hairy biped walking along the path shoulder for several seconds before it crossed the path and descended into a wooded gully. The witness left and returned about an hour later with another dog and found and photographed a large footprint where the creature had walked.
Possible track and wood knocks heard near Greenville
The witness returned to the campground with a companion and camped overnight. After turning in for the night, while drifting in and out of sleep in his tent, he heard two wood knocks from the east and a few minutes later one wood knock from the west. He told his companion about the sounds in the morning and suggested returning to investigate.
Possible stalking of ROTC Unit at Indian Mound Reserve
The witness was leading a small ROTC patrol on a nighttime escape-and-evasion exercise along creek and cliff trails. The group heard movement and walking above them with small rocks falling, found no one when they climbed to search, then heard heavy running footsteps and branches being swiped aside approaching them that caused the patrol to flee to a field edge. The opposing unit later said it never left base, and a next-day visit found snapped branches above head height but no tracks.
Early morning vocalizations heard near Rainbow Creek
The witness was lying in bed at home around 4am when an unidentified screaming sound was heard outside. Dogs appeared to chase the source, and heavy thudding footsteps passed the window followed by barking dogs. The witness was frightened, did not look outside, and years later recognized a similar scream on a television program about Bigfoot.
