Loud wood knocks heard near abandonned campground 35 miles east of Bristol
The witness was alone at an abandoned campground at night to photograph fireflies. They heard two loud single wood knocks about 45 minutes apart coming from the woods ahead/southwest, with no other animal sounds, footsteps, or odor. Unable to explain the sound, the witness packed up and left.
Campers hear loud deep howls near Lake Texoma
Four campers sitting around a campfire at night heard two deep howls from the south, then a higher-pitched howl from the northwest, followed about 20 minutes later by a close whoop. Through the night they also heard brush breaking, grunts around 1 a.m., and noticed a slight odor. A morning search found nothing solid, though exploration toward the first vocalizations reportedly revealed a freshly snapped elevated branch.

Late at night the witness went outside to feed dogs and heard three loud solid knocks followed by a long loud scream-like cry. About half an hour later after going back outside the same sequence repeated. She later found very large footprints where the sounds seemed to originate and had tracking dogs follow the scent until they stopped and refused to continue.
Man and son have encounter while setting off fireworks near Pottsboro
The witness and his teenage son rowed to an isolated wooded shore at night to set off fireworks while family watched from across the water. The witness heard loud huffing and grunting, crashing through brush, and smelled strong body odor approaching in the dense woods. He briefly saw a very large, wide, shaggy human-like silhouette between trees in his flashlight beam. He took his son and paddled away quickly, leaving chairs and fireworks equipment behind.
Seven-foot tall creature seen by two youths; a local newspaper later carries story about other incidents in the same area
Two boys walked from their houses into nearby woods toward a creekbed to shoot BB guns while footsteps seemed to parallel them and close to nearby. At the bottom of the creekbed they looked toward the sounds and saw a roughly seven-foot-tall hair-covered figure whose face they could not discern. Both fled home in fear and said the figure did not follow them.
Youth watches animal hiding behind trees near Nolin Lake
The witness, then a child on a family vacation at a wooded campsite at Nolin Lake, was standing inside a camper at dusk looking down a hill. The witness saw a grayish-brown hairy figure partly hidden behind a tree, showing head, shoulder, arm, hip and thigh. After turning to speak with a parent, the witness looked back and the figure was gone, and remained frightened inside the camper.
