Deer hunters hear possible vocalizations and find strange footprints near Ellisville
Early on Jan. 5, 2010 the witness was dropped off to hunt when an extremely low growl was heard and horses in a nearby field ran in apparent fear. About thirty minutes later after moving to a stand, the witness heard single wood knocks coming from three different directions, along with sounds resembling screech owls from the same directions. No source was seen.
Hikers find possible footprints by a cornfield north of Norris
The witness and a companion were hiking when the companion found large footprints in mud beside a field. They described three deep prints with visible toes that were larger than a boot and spaced wider than a human step, appearing to go into the field and then back into the woods. An investigator later recorded measurements of fifteen inches long by six inches wide.
Wood knock and possible nighttime sighting east of Canton Lake
The witness was walking at night from a camper toward town when a loud fall-like noise occurred ahead in the road. A shadowy fur-covered biped stood up about 30 feet away and walked calmly across the road before disappearing into vegetation. The witness continued past the spot believing the creature stayed hidden nearby without further interaction.

The witness and a companion were driving late at night near Caroga Lake when headlights revealed a large dark upright figure crossing the road ahead. The figure stepped easily over a guardrail and continued into the woods. The witnesses did not stop, feeling shaken and believing they had seen a bigfoot.
Recollection of possible encounters at a cemetery in the village of Cuba
Late at night four friends walking past a graveyard noticed a very large object resting on a branch in a large tree. After they shone a flashlight at it, the object dropped about twenty feet and ran quickly toward woods behind the graveyard. The witness returned at sunrise and found very large impressions in the grass with a stride neither he nor a taller companion could match, leading him to estimate the creature at seven to nine feet tall.

In July 1969 the witness and two younger brothers were on bikes on a bridge over a creek when they watched a 4-foot dark brown young animal play in a tree about 300 feet away for five minutes. The witness felt overwhelming terror without seeing a threat and led the brothers away. While they rode about a half mile home, a brother reported a strange hairy man chasing them, which the witness interpreted as an adult protecting its young.

In January or February 1966 near Mayfield, New York, the witness and a relative were rabbit hunting at midday. They found a short series of very large tracks in patchy melting snow and followed them a short distance before losing the trail.
Roar heard and deer carcasses found
In 84 the witness and a companion were night fishing at a lake when they heard dogs barking in sequence around the southwest edge of the gameland. They then heard a loud roar that echoed across the small valley, followed by complete quiet. Both stated they were familiar with Pennsylvania wildlife but had never heard such a noise.
