While picking mushrooms with a companion in a remote brushy area, the witness reported finding a single large indented footprint. Shortly after, they observed a nearby tree that was snapped and shredded several feet above the ground. The pair then left the area.

Three coworkers riding in a golf cart while collecting flags passed within a few feet of a tall pale human-like figure beside the path near hole 13. They drove past, confirmed they had all seen something, and turned back; two of them saw it again peeking from behind the elevated tee box before it moved out of sight. They left, returned minutes later in an enclosed cart, and heard repeated creaking sounds nearby before leaving the area.

Two relatives camped alone at a riverside campground, one in a tent and one in a van. During the night they heard loud calling sounds from across the river and later heard movement around the campsite, including grunt-like sounds beside the van. In the morning they compared notes, confirmed no other campers were present, and found no tracks due to hard ground.

The witness and a companion were sitting at their campsite campfire at night when they heard loud canine-like howl and whoop calls from multiple directions, approaching to within about 35 yards. The calls were described as deeper and louder than coyote or wolf, followed by fast gutteral sounds likened to a language or argument between two animals. The pair ruled out known animals and a human prank after hearing a second matching voice upstream. The vocal exchange lasted about five to seven minutes before the animals appeared to move away upstream over a bluff.

The witness was hiking with a companion and two dogs in the morning when a large brown shape was seen moving quickly through dense understory. The dogs chased it for a few minutes and came back frightened, with one running all the way back to shelter. The witness reported a strong musty odor, unusual height and quietness of the object, and a securely tied tarp on one dog returning loosened to one knot.

Late at night in summer 1989, the witness and two cousins stepped outside after movies and heard a loud deep guttural sound from the creek bottom rise into a 5-10 second howl. Frightened by its apparent size and closeness, they went back inside and locked the door. The witness described the end of the sound as more wolf-like than cow-like and later compared it to a reference Ohio recording.

The witness was camping with family in a wooded Oregon area near a shallow river and was playing outside a camper while two relatives napped. After hearing underbrush rustle and noticing a small sapling bend, the witness moved closer and saw a large hairy hand reach from behind berry brush to grab berries from about 8 to 10 feet away. The witness ran back to camp without seeing the rest of the creature and later described the hand as clearly a hand rather than a paw.

The witness and a relative were walking home in the evening when they heard loud whooping from the mountain above them and ran home. They brought parents outside to listen, and all four heard the continuing whoops. The sounds recurred over subsequent nights, and a county trapper later searched the area but found nothing.

The witness and a companion were sleeping on the ground at camp while deer hunting after forgetting tent poles. During the night the witness felt fingers touching his beard and smelled a strong odor. After he sat up and shouted, something large moved away through brush on two legs making loud leaf-crunching noise. No tracks were found with a flashlight, and the witness later concluded it was a Bigfoot.
