Suburban Flower Mound resident startled by possible wood knocks close to home in early morning
The witness stood in the front yard before work in the early morning darkness and heard three loud knocks followed by a single knock from woods across the road. Seconds later, answering knocks came from deeper in the woods toward the lake. The surroundings were otherwise completely silent, and no people or lights were seen in the woods.

The witness and his son hiked a closed trail along the river. They heard a loud knock and a whistle, then retreated toward the parking lot while taking photos over the shoulder. One photo later appeared to show a crouching figure by a tree, and photos were also taken of indistinct human-shaped tracks.
