Possible pre-dawn approach to property outside Winston-Salem
Early in the morning the witness took the dog out to the end of the driveway before work. The dog alerted toward the treeline, then the witness heard a loud howl and wood-on-wood sounds very close and glimpsed a figure by a tree. After going back inside and leaving again, the witness heard footsteps in the dark and saw a huge dark upright figure moving along the fence and driveway by a pond, later noticing a foul odor and disturbed leaves in the area.
Witness recalls a possible daytime sighting while 4-wheeling as a youth west of Nashville
The witness was riding an ATV on a logging road with his stepbrother riding behind him when a tall hair-covered biped dashed across the road directly in front of them. The figure cleared the logging road in about two steps and disappeared into thick brush on the other side. The witness sped away in fear and the passenger did not see the figure. The witness later returned to the spot but found no tracks or odor, only a seldom-used path through the brush.

The witness reports hearing a very loud, chilling howl and scream repeatedly over many years while living on forested family land. The sounds often occurred in early evening after unusual silence, frightened family members, and caused dogs, horses, and goats to react. Despite multiple hunts nothing was found, and years later the witness felt internet recordings of alleged sasquatch vocalizations matched what the family had heard.
