Backpacker hears possible vocalizations near Mt. St. Helens

The witness was on a solo multi-day backpacking hike near Mount St. Helens. Around midday on the first day, deep whooping calls were heard coming from the canyon direction over about 10-15 minutes. The witness described the tone as unusually deep and resonant and unlike known animal calls.
