Vocalizations heard on Knob Mountain

The witness was walking a dog late at night on a road next to woods when the dog stopped, stared toward the mountain, and growled. About 30 seconds later the witness heard a loud howl/scream lasting up to about 20 seconds that seemed to come from partway up the mountain, after which neighborhood dogs began barking. The witness and dog returned home, and a check of the area the next morning found no tracks.
