The witness stopped by a roadside woodlot after noticing a freshly broken young tree and large depressions in leaf litter described as human-shaped footprints. After examining the break and prints, the witness knocked rocks together and reported hearing a distant knock in response, with further knocks and whoops getting no reply.

The witness, about eight years old at the time, was awakened at night by a noise and saw a large figure looking through her bedroom window. She reports being frozen with fear and remaining hidden in bed until morning. Her parents later found indentations in the ground outside the window.

The witness and a companion were walking along a road after sundown when the witness heard movement on an elevated fence row. The witness climbed up to look across a cut corn field and saw a tall slender brown shaggy figure walking along a ditch, which stepped into a ditch bank after being shouted at. They ran back to the companion's house, and the witness returned the next day to find large human-like footprints in lime dust.
