Campers hear possible vocalizations on Yellowwood Lake
The witness and his wife were asleep in their camper at a campground when they were woken by very loud, deep, long howls from very close by. The close howls occurred twice, and each time a similar call answered from across the lake. They stayed awake listening but heard nothing further and felt the sounds were not a dog, coyote, or human.

The witness and a relative were camping and had just built a fire when they heard a scream from a ridge. After firing a shotgun into the air, they saw the moonlit outline of an upright human-like figure running toward the water's edge while making an unfamiliar howling sound. They also noticed something that looked like a large footprint but were unsure about it.
