Family hears whooping sounds while hiking Marys Peak
A family of five was hiking on a forest trail when they heard deep guttural whooping sounds nearby. The sounds alternated from different directions as if two individuals were communicating and continued intermittently for about 40 minutes while the group climbed. The adults kept the children in a tight group until they left the forest section and the sounds stopped.
Hikers hear growl, wood knocking, have rock thrown at them
While hiking with a companion, the witness heard a low growling sound that the companion did not hear. Moments later a baseball-sized rock landed where the witness had just been standing, with no visible source. The pair then heard loud wood-on-wood impacts first ahead on the hill and then behind them, which they could not explain. They reported no sighting, odor, or footprints, and nearby hikers with dogs showed no unusual reaction.

Two people walking a terrier dog along the receded shoreline of a lake followed large raccoon tracks to a disturbed area in packed sandy soil. There they found two sizes of large human-like footprints intersecting the raccoon tracks, which ended at the disturbance, while the human-like tracks returned toward the tree line. The prints were much deeper than the witnesses' own impressions in the same soil. The dog behaved unusually at the site, whining and soiling the area.

Two companions on a dirt-bike camping trip found a trail they had used all day blocked by a large log at dusk and camped overnight. Around midnight something large crashed through brush, rocks were thrown into camp, and loud screaming and growling occurred. The pair fled in their truck, leaving gear behind, and returned briefly at midday the next day to retrieve it.
