Possible daylight sighting by a couple at Geneva-on-the-Lake State Park
A family of four driving through Geneva State Park in daylight stopped after noticing a large dark bipedal figure moving through snowy woods. The figure was watched briefly for about ten seconds before disappearing. Shortly after from a nearby parking lot the adults made whoop calls and heard replies described as whoops, a scream or growl, and wood knocks, while also noticing a strong unpleasant odor.
Possible daylight sighting along I-90 near Geneva
The witness was driving east in a work van when they saw a tall, brownish-grey upright figure walking just inside a woodline about 100 yards from the road. The figure moved east then turned south toward the river and was seen between trees for about 10 seconds. Other drivers behind the witness also slowed, which the witness thought was to look at the same thing.
Woman recounts possible early evening sighting near Saybrook
The witness was driving home with her son at dusk when a tall, dark-furred biped with long arms crossed the road in front of their vehicle in about three strides and entered the woods. After pulling into the driveway, they noticed a strong rotten odor and heard branches breaking and a high-pitched woot sound. They went inside, and the odor was gone when the witness returned outside an hour later.

The witness was driving in the morning when they noticed a large hair-covered man-like figure standing at the edge of the woods about 50 feet away. The figure first moved backwards with small steps, then turned and walked deeper into the woods until it could no longer be seen. The witness estimated its height from nearby pine trees at upper six feet to near seven feet with very broad shoulders.
