Late one night in June, the witness walked to a camping trailer to use the bathroom and noticed a tall upright figure moving nearby. The figure briefly turned at the waist and head toward her, apparently having heard the trailer door. She watched it for only a few seconds in poor light provided by a neighboring light.

The witness was night-fishing along a river trail when heavy footsteps approached on the wooded hillside. Shining a headlamp toward the sound caused it to stop, and it resumed after the light was removed. At dusk the witness and her young son were leading family members back along a wooded trail after fishing when a tall dark hairy figure crossed the trail just ahead of them and vanished into dense vegetation. The witness described it as very tall and bulky with long hair and long arms swinging as it moved quickly in a slumped posture. Her son also glimpsed the figure, but relatives behind a bend saw nothing, and the group heard no further sounds and did not search for tracks.

Two companions rode an ATV to a clearing by a lake and built a large fire at night. Over the evening they heard deliberate footfalls, pacing and stick breaks in the treeline about sixty yards away and noticed the woods go silent. After the witness knocked on a tree and made a whoop call, they heard knocks in reply and then a long deep guttural growl. They rode toward the sound without seeing anything, then put out the fire and left feeling watched and frightened.
