Memory told of a possible daylight sighting while playing in the woods in Eben Junction

In summer 1944, the 9-year-old witness and his cousin were playing in a woodlot on a family farm, knocking dead saplings against live trees. They stopped and saw a huge man-like figure standing broadside nearby looking at them, which then turned and walked away. The boys ran out and told their mothers, who dismissed it as a neighbor, and the witness says they avoided that part of the woods afterward.
