At midday the witness was standing by his truck in his ex-wife's driveway when he briefly saw a large hairy figure walking behind nearby buildings. He tried to follow it toward the adjacent woods but saw and heard nothing further. Hours later he was told two workers behind the same house had also reported seeing a monster.
Daylight sighting by two turkey hunters in Gifford Point WMA, four miles south of Omaha
The witness and a relative were bow-hunting for turkey and had set decoys and a blind before stopping for lunch. The witness noticed a figure squatting at a trailhead across a field and alerted the relative. Both watched it stand, turn, and walk away into the woods down a slope toward the river, grabbing an overhead branch as it left. Afterwards they went to the spot and used the height of the grabbed branch to estimate the figure at about eight feet tall.

In April 2002 just before sunrise, the witness let her dogs into the fenced backyard. The dogs ran barking toward the fence then retreated yelping as she noticed a tall hair-covered figure behind a tree in the neighboring yard. The figure leaped sideways between trees then moved forward toward her to within about 20 feet on the other side of the fence, causing her to flee inside and lock the doors.

In summer 2005 the witness drove back from a relative's house late at night and pulled into the mother's driveway. The headlights illuminated a large hairy figure standing partly behind a dumpster at the bottom of the driveway, which looked toward the witness without moving. The witness froze, tried to call inside, then left and slept in the car up the street until morning.
Nighttime sighting by a motorist on a road south of Crawford
The witness was driving south on a curving highway at night with high beams on. A tall, black-furred human-like figure stepped to the edge of the road and stopped on the white line as the truck approached. The witness slowed thinking it might be someone needing a ride, then accelerated away when close and stopped miles down the road to process the sighting.
Newspaper account of an encounter with an unknown creature near Salt Creek
A motorcyclist turning onto Fairfield Street claimed a Bigfoot-like creature ran in front of him and caused him to fall. The creature then continued south toward Salt Creek while emitting a terrible smell. The frightened rider got up and left. A nearby resident recalling the story years later said it was in the local newspaper the next day.

The witness was in his pickup at the mailbox on a very cold, windy winter morning when he noticed movement in a pasture about a quarter-mile away. He watched for about 10 to 12 seconds as a large, dark-brown, long-haired, man-like figure with long arms took large steps south toward a shelterbelt, glanced toward him, then moved faster and disappeared into the trees. He did not go to look for tracks in the snow because he was afraid.

The witness reported seeing a gray-haired, muscular biped standing on the edge of a ravine about 40 yards away. The being stood erect and turned its head side to side before looking at the witness, who ducked, and when the witness looked again it was gone. The sighting occurred in a wooded ravine area about an hour before sunset.

On the third night of a three-day series, the witness walked home across a field after dark and heard footsteps converging to intercept him, smelled a strong foul odor, and sensed something pass very close unseen. From his illuminated backyard he then saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal figure standing by a clothesline pole about 40-50 feet away, staring at him for about 20 seconds before he ran inside.

In fall 1974 the witness was bowhunting and driving along the Niobrara River when he stopped to check a ravine. He saw a tall coal-colored hairy creature about 40 to 50 feet away watching him for about two seconds before it turned and ran south up the ravine on two feet. He stayed parked a few minutes afterward and initially told no one.

The witness was driving south on Highway 77 near Blue Springs, Nebraska when a large bipedal creature stepped out of a ditch and crossed the road in three strides. An oncoming vehicle also slowed at the spot and its occupants confirmed they had seen it. The witness described a massive, 7-8 foot tall animal covered in blackish-brown hair that continued into the opposite ditch. The creature was in full view for less than five seconds.

Two children playing hide-and-seek ran into an alley and came face to face with a tall, dark-haired bipedal animal about fifteen feet away walking toward them. The animal screamed loudly without slowing or changing direction, prompting the children to scream and run home. They were not pursued and did not encounter it again.
