Vocalization, followed by sighting near Carnation/Fall City
Four telephone-line workers heard ape-like high-pitched sounds while working on an isolated road lined with pines and brush. After the witness mimicked the sounds, a large hairy biped crossed the road about 60-70 yards away and paced back and forth, repeatedly stopping in the road to stare at the witness. The witness described upright human-like walking, long arms at the sides, hips wider than shoulders, and an extremely large foot. The animal eventually left into thick bushes leading to heavy fir.
Father and daughter see a sasquatch cross the road near White Pass Ski area
The witness and a relative were driving west on Highway 12 late at night toward Packwood. About 100 yards ahead a tall hair-covered figure crossed the road from right to left on two legs in a few long steps and disappeared. The witness slowed but saw nothing else follow.
Three sets of tracks found
Two bear hunters on foot found three sets of large footprints traveling together in a muddy flat back in the woods. The prints were in a low area filled with rain water and were judged to be fairly recent because the edges lacked degradation. A single plaster cast of the largest print was made within 24 hours, but the cast was poor due to inexperience.

Five companions on a camping trip drove to near the top of Corral Pass to scout a hike. While looking for tracks in snow, they found a trail of large bare footprints with distinct toes and no claws. They concluded the prints were not bear or boot prints and continued their trek in silence.
Creature seen by witnesses at the bottom of the hill
The witness and a companion were elk hunting from a ridge when they heard soft murmuring voices they took for approaching hunters. They then heard heavy thumps retreating down the brushy ridge and briefly saw a big black object moving fast into the trees on the flat below. Both initially considered a black bear but later felt that explanation did not fit the vocal sounds and movement.
Sasquatch seen while father and son were hunting elk
The witness and his youngest son were hunting with family and heard noises they thought were elk. While investigating on foot, they noticed a dark trunk-like shape in the bushes about 25 yards away that appeared to have eyes that moved. The son locked the vehicle door and urged immediate departure. The witness remains mostly but not fully convinced the shape was not a tree.

The witness was deer hunting from an old logging road overlooking a cleared area when a tall bipedal figure emerged from the treeline across a draw. At first mistaking it for a very large man on a road, he realized it was far taller than a human with long strides and brown coloration. The figure appeared to turn toward him, then returned into the treeline. He later crossed to the spot and found no road, only uneven ground and a steep draw beyond.
Forest worker has many encounters with bigfoot
Two forestry workers resurveying a remote allotment for a timber harvest reported being followed at a distance while smelling a heavy stench. During a break they heard large movement in the brush, threw a piece of wood toward the sound, and then saw the backlit shadows of four hair-covered figures behind bushes in a break of sunlight. The witness described two large males standing motionless, a thin female with a hump who vocalized and wrung her hands, and a smaller child-sized figure, before the light faded and the pair left the area to finish work later.
Creature seen crossing road
The witness was driving alone toward a family camp when a large white-haired biped crossed the highway about 50 yards ahead. The figure walked upright with wide strides, moving from dense forest on one side to an overgrown old logging road on the other without looking toward the car. The witness slowed at a pullout, noted the location relative to a curve warning sign, and later measured the spot as one mile north of a highway turnoff.

A hunter and his son paused on a ridge while elk hunting in the morning after hearing a noise and a snap. The father saw a brown, long-haired biped from the shoulders down standing in old cuttings, which grabbed a tree and swung behind it to keep the tree between them. The son reported hearing a high-pitched scream and grunting that the father could not hear. They searched the spot but found no sign, noting an unusual absence of deer and elk sign.
Deer hunters find footprints in mud
While hunting deer with a companion in October 1996, the witness found two well-defined human-like footprint sets in mud of very different sizes. About five minutes later a very loud pounding was heard from dense woods downhill no more than about 50 feet away, prompting them to move away. About 300 yards away they found a third footprint set intermediate in size between the first two.
Skydivers witness creature while flying over mountain
Friends of the reporter were flying a small plane toward a skydiving event when they reportedly saw a Sasquatch-like figure walking on a road. They turned the plane for a low pass and watched it run along the road with long strides, then leave the road to run uphill over stumps. When they circled for another look, it was gone.

The witness was driving toward Yakima with two young companions along a road by the river while watching for wildlife. The witness noticed a large dark figure at the water's edge behind bushes. The witness braked and reversed to look again, but the figure was gone. The companions did not claim to have seen it and responded skeptically.

Two companions had spent the day fishing at dredged ponds and were leaving at dusk when they heard splashing. On the far side of a pond they saw a dark, broad-shouldered figure standing chest-deep in water with its back to them, repeatedly raising its arms to slap the water. They ran to a nearby house to report what they had seen.

While camping and fishing at a remote lake, the witness was alerted by a companion to a possible animal on the hillside. The witness then saw a creature stand from behind a bush about 75 yards away, stare briefly, and dart into the woods. Minutes later it reappeared higher on the steep hillside, ran across openings, jumped a ravine, and walked behind a knoll, while the witness's wife videotaped about 22 seconds.

The witness was on a fishing trip and eating lunch at camp when he spotted a fur-covered biped on a hill across from the boat launch using binoculars. He watched it for several minutes until it stepped over a fallen tree and disappeared into the trees. About an hour later he saw what he believed was the same creature near a rockslide on a larger hill across the lake before it disappeared again. He told his father he had seen a Sasquatch.
Teenager recounts his sighting as a very young boy on his property near Yacolt
A young child who had gone about fifty yards from the house to pick thimbleberries claimed a large white-furred creature rose up from behind the bushes within a few feet. The child observed broad shoulders, long arms at its sides, and a human-like head shape for a few seconds before running back to the house in terror. No one else saw the creature, and later searches found no tracks or hair.

Late at night the witness was driving home with an infant passenger on a wooded road with a guardrail and creek. A dark figure crouched by the guardrail stood, raised its arms, then lay down in the lane and the car drove over it. The witness left the scene out of fear, later reported hitting a bear, but no record of the call or physical trace was found the next day.
Unusual sounds heard, sighting of fast upright animal
The witness and two relatives returned at night to a riverside berry area where relatives had felt watched the day before. After about ten minutes of quiet, they heard a loud bang like a shotgun, loud splashing near shore, and repeated very large rocks thrown into the water. After retreating uphill and pausing by the car, they heard a branch snap and rustling, and an unseen presence loudly mimicked the witness's whistle by vocalizing.
Sighting by campers
Two people camping near a ravine heard rhythmic steps and saw a pair of large, long black-haired legs walking across the slope about 30 yards away. The companion moved closer but dense trees prevented a view of the full figure. After relocating their tent near other campers, both were awakened around 3 a.m. by heavy pounding nearby followed by three high shrill screams.
