In 1971 the witness was alone watching TV at the parents' rural house near Myrtle Point. After hearing dogs bark, smelling a strong foul odor, and hearing footsteps on an outside plank, she saw a tall hunched hairy female figure pass a glass door. The figure stopped, turned toward her and made eye contact, after which she fainted and was later found on the floor by her parents. Her father searched outside with a flashlight but found nothing.
Graceful creature ran by man when he was 15
While deer hunting alone from a stump, the witness saw a large human-like figure run through brush about 50 feet away. The figure was first mistaken for the witness's father, but the father then appeared elsewhere on foot, smaller and much noisier. The witness described the figure as huge, powerful, fast, graceful and quiet.

The witness was driving a spray rig along an orchard boundary and scanning a neighboring field when a tall dark figure was seen walking about 100-150 yards away. The witness stopped the vehicle and watched from the hood as the figure moved with a smooth human-like stride into a walnut grove and did not reappear. A few days later the witness estimated the figure's height from a comparison tree and found no footprints on the hard soil.

The sounds eventually stopped and the family went back inside, leaving the witness frightened.

The witness woke in the early morning hours to her young daughter giggling in the dining room. Through an uncovered sliding glass door she saw a small bigfoot on the lit back porch jumping up and down in apparent play with the child. When it noticed the witness it left, and a larger bigfoot assumed to be its mother walked past the window. The frightened witness grabbed her child and retreated down the hallway.

The figure was first noticed from several hundred yards away and entered dense roadside forest with no path. The witness, then a teenager staying in a tent at a logging camp, awoke at night and saw a female fur-covered figure standing at an illuminated cooler on the porch holding meat. After a standoff ended by a scream, the figure left with the meat as others emerged and observed its receding form and footprints.

From a floodlit pasture near a river, she saw a very large dark upright figure emerge from the riverbed and move quickly across the pasture. The figure stepped over an electric fence, crossed the highway, and went up an embankment on the far side within a few seconds.

The witness and a friend were hiking on logging roads when they paused for a restroom break and the witness walked a short way back down the road. The witness saw a big, hairy, dark figure coming down a steep embankment upright with heavy thumping steps and crashing brush. After the witness screamed the figure stopped and looked toward them, and both hikers ran away shouting about a bear.

The witness watched from a viewing tower during a storm as a tall man-like figure came down to the beach and waved its arms toward the surf. Two other people in the tower watched the figure at the same time. When a pickup truck approached with its lights on, the figure strode quickly about 30 yards to the dunes and disappeared. The witness later found torn-up sand where the figure had come down a high sand hill but left without following.
