Two very large, barrel-chested bipedal figures crossed the road in front of the cars with a high-stepping march, appearing unbothered by the vehicles and lights. The witness drove past slowly, did not see them again, and hurried home shaken.

A companion reported something running across the road as they drove, and later the group heard commotion near the lake.

After shining a flashlight in that direction, the witness saw two hairy bipedal figures cross a fence and then ran inside. The witness reports driving north on a highway and noticing a gray, hair-covered figure across the river near a creek inlet. After pulling into a turnout, the witness watched the figure repeatedly bend from the hips while appearing to move rocks or forage in the water. The figure then stood upright and looked toward the witness before resuming its activity, and the witness left before it did.

The witness and a companion walked a creek in the late afternoon, and the witness climbed a steep bank to continue on land. From the bank the witness saw a large hair-covered biped in dense woods that moved away very quickly. The companion remained in the creek bed and did not see it, and both left the area along the creek as light faded.

The witness was driving on a rural road in the morning when a figure crossed the road ahead. The witness stopped and watched a tall, reddish-brown haired, human-like and ape-like figure standing about 50 feet away facing him for about five minutes. The figure then walked into the woods, and a later check found no footprints because the ground was too hard.

The witness was driving home around midnight when he saw a tall figure standing by a roadside fence watching him pass. Believing it was a man needing help, he stopped, got out with a flashlight, and started walking back toward it. A loud vocalization shifting from high-pitched to low guttural frightened him, causing him to drop the flashlight and drive away. He returned the next day to recover the flashlight and found only flattened grass with no footprints or hair.

While hiking alone and descending a dry trail, the witness heard a loud crashing nearby and saw a large black ape-like animal running uphill, visible from the waist up. The animal tripped, caught itself, showed its face in profile, then disappeared while a fallen tree rocked and a possible face was glimpsed. The witness photographed the area, heard and saw nothing further, found no other tracks, and later found possible scat in the direction the animal headed.

The witness stopped at a stone quarry in the late afternoon to look for deer and saw a dark, uniformly colored biped moving very quickly through tall grass on uneven terrain. The figure held its arms at its sides and appeared to float rather than run, crossed a path beside a corn field, then entered standing corn and disappeared. The observation lasted about 15 seconds at an estimated distance of 225 yards.

The witness was moose hunting from a tree stand at night when a bull moose he had called approached. A large upright creature crossed the clearing quickly, causing the moose to flee, then circled to within about 50 yards of the stand. The creature hid behind willows and watched the witness for 30-40 minutes before leaving to the northeast.

The witness was driving to work along a gravel river road in the early afternoon, hunting partridge along the way. About 30 to 40 yards ahead, the witness saw a tall, thin, dark-haired figure emerge from pines, pause to look toward the vehicle, then turn and run parallel to the road. Frightened, the witness reversed, loaded a shotgun, waited for another vehicle, then followed it past the area without finding sign.

After waiting there and then entering timber on the far side, he looked back and saw a large dark shape where he had sat stand up and come toward him; after he shouted it ran into the trees.

Late at night while driving on a dirt service road for utility work, the witness saw a tall, thin brown-haired creature step into the headlights and cross the road at an angle. The witness watched for about 15 seconds as it took a few long strides between juniper trees before disappearing. After driving away in fear, the witness returned the next day with a co-worker and found widely spaced footprints leading east.

The witness was fishing from a boat with two young companions on Riffe Lake late in the morning when they spotted a large hairy biped about 150 yards away in a clearcut. They watched for several minutes as it walked away, paused to face and stare at them, then continued walking while looking back before disappearing into timber. The witness stated the subject was not human and was not a bear.

They heard repeated deep growls and saw the silhouette of a large man-like figure with a cone-shaped head and very wide shoulders walking silently up the road toward them. On a clear sunny afternoon in August 2002, the witness was commuting to work when a reddish-brown creature with long arms emerged from the woods. The creature crossed the road in about three steps, glanced toward the witness, and continued up the opposite bank. The witness later estimated it at seven to eight feet tall and much bulkier than a 6'1" person.

In the early morning the witness was at a rental mobile home property with his wife to check on tenants and let dogs out. The dogs refused to leave the porch while reacting to movement in an adjacent tobacco field. The witness saw a large hunched furred figure with a rounded back in the field and a smaller figure moving away, and heard exchanging chuffing vocalizations and a distressed mewling sound from the field and from across the road near a creek. The figures moved toward tall grass and the tree line, a tree across the road shook as if climbed, a musty odor was noticed, and mashed grass trails were found the next morning.
