Glancing in the rearview mirror, the witness saw a very tall, broad, dark upright creature standing in the middle of the road behind the vehicle. After stopping, the witness watched it pivot, take a step to the side of the road, and disappear down a steep rocky slope. No definite footprints were found in the gravel where it had stood.

The witness, a newspaper carrier, was stopped by the road in the dark reviewing a route sheet. A figure approached the vehicle from the passenger side to within a few feet, appearing curious and focused on the inside of the vehicle, then crossed the road. While working as night watchmen at a logging site, the female witness walked back from checking equipment at dusk and heard a snorkeling sound by the creek. She saw a large fur-covered creature on its knees drinking, which then stood up very tall and stepped over a stump. She ran screaming toward the trailer while the creature also screamed, and her companion heard it screaming and breaking trees as it moved away.

The witness and a companion were hunting ground fowl in a clearing when the witness noticed movement and saw a large hairy biped about 400 feet away. The subject rose from a crouched position and walked across the field of view for about 20 seconds before leaving sight. The pair then left the area back-to-back, and the witness says he was scared and has avoided the area since.

The witness was driving west for work when, after cresting a hill, the witness saw in the rear-view mirror a reddish-brown hair-covered creature cross the highway from south to north. The creature walked without hurry with long strides and showed no interest in the vehicles. The witness stopped, turned around and searched the crossing area but saw nothing further.

A driver traveling late at night reported glimpsing a tall, broad-shouldered bipedal animal with dark bluish/grey hair descending a steep slope beyond the guardrail. The driver did not see its head and did not stop, hear anything, or check for tracks. He judged it too broad-shouldered to be a bear on its hind legs and unlike the elk commonly seen there.

The witness was hunting deer alone on a frozen mountain road in the morning when he noticed a black figure walking upright toward him from about 300 yards away. After it closed to about 250 yards it appeared to notice him, then crouched and leapt clear across the road into dense trees and disappeared. He waited and later searched the road edge and treeline but found no tracks, noting the ground was frozen.

The witness was fishing from a boat with two young companions on Riffe Lake late in the morning when they spotted a large hairy biped about 150 yards away in a clearcut. They watched for several minutes as it walked away, paused to face and stare at them, then continued walking while looking back before disappearing into timber. The witness stated the subject was not human and was not a bear.

The witness pulled to the side of a road near woods and a river around 9 p.m. to relieve himself. The accompanying dog began growling and barking, and the witness saw a very large figure cross the road in about two steps and disappear into the woods about 30 yards away. When the witness walked toward the spot with the dog and a flashlight, the dog refused to advance, a strong musky smell was noticed, and cracking sounds in the vegetation moved toward them, prompting the witness to return to the car and drive away.

The witness was kayaking on Sullivan Lake with family when she passed a rope swing on a steep bank. She saw a very tall, silver-furred, human-like figure sitting still on a stump watching her from about 15 yards. After she looked ahead and back, the figure was gone with only bushes moving. Later that evening her niece, who had been ahead, asked if she had seen the figure by the rope swing.

A driver and a companion were driving north on Highway 109 near Moclips in evening light when a stocky, dark brownish animal crossed the road in front of the truck. The animal then ran on all fours in the roadside ditch, keeping pace with the truck at about 35 mph for about 10-15 seconds before disappearing. Both occupants watched it but could not identify it, noting longer front legs, uniform hair, and no snout or tail.

The witness was fishing downstream while two companions walked upriver. He noticed steam rising from what looked like a broken tree, then saw eyes turn toward him and recognized two hairy figures, a smaller one that fled by jumping over rocks and logs and a larger one squatting on its heels. He brought his companions back to view the larger figure from about 25 yards away, then all three ran to their van and later saw the spot was empty.

The witness saw a dark, long-armed figure walking through the creek heading northeast for about 5 seconds, judging it much larger than a man from its stride. The driving companion did not see it. They stopped and scanned the area for 10-15 minutes with no further movement, but noted disturbed ground where it appeared to leave the woods.
