The witness was sitting outside at night talking on the phone when she heard movement in nearby woods and then noticed a strange odor. She looked up and saw a very large, hair-covered figure standing in a field about 30 feet away. Frightened, she ran inside and locked the doors, and a family member found nothing that night with a flashlight. The next morning she and a relative found flattened grass, clearings, and tracks leading into the woods but were too frightened to follow them.

In 2007 the witness led an armed group with spotlights to an area where relatives had heard screams. He shone a light across a field and saw a large dark hairy figure with outstretched arms run away in a split second. In July 2006 around 4:30 a.m., the witness was riding a motorcycle to work when they noticed a large hairy creature squatting beside the road near a sawmill. They passed within about four feet and looked at its face and eyes for a few seconds before continuing, too shaken to stop. The witness described the animal as unlike any known animal and human-like in appearance.

The witness was driving at night behind another car when both vehicles stopped for a tall, dark, manlike figure crossing the road in the headlights. The figure was described as 8-9 feet tall with very long arms and a strong musk odor that lingered after it left. It reportedly broke the top off a barbed-wire fence post, went over the fence, and disappeared into the woods. The next day the witness found a broken post, bent wire, and broken brush leading into the treeline.

The witness was asleep at home when loud moaning and howling outside the open bedroom window woke her. The sounds shifted from distress-like cries to very deep angry growls. A pet dog barked from below, then something approached the garage area, growled deeply, and struck the building, after which the dog fell silent. The witness stayed in bed too frightened to look outside.

Two witnesses entering the woods to play paintball heard a noise and saw a very large upright black creature run across the trail ahead of them. The creature looked toward them, accelerated, climbed a steep bank and disappeared into the woods within seconds.

The witness was driving at night near Monkey Mountain when a tall, very thin creature crossed the road in front of the vehicle in about three unhurried strides. The creature came from a steep hillside heading toward river areas and did not appear to notice the vehicle. It was described as about seven feet tall with sparse, long grayish hair, leaning forward as it walked.

Two people driving while hunting at sunset saw a large hairy man-like figure running along the road about 30 to 40 yards away. The sighting lasted only a few seconds before the figure disappeared toward a ridge. The driver stopped, got out to search, heard no sound of flight and found no tracks on the hard sandy road.

While driving to work before dawn on a logging road, the witness encountered a dark figure on the road and initially assumed it was a bear. As headlights illuminated it, the figure was seen running bipedally down the road for about 100 feet before veering off through a ditch and up a bank into bushes. A small reddish-brown hair-covered biped leaped across the road in mid-air directly in front of the truck, nearly being hit. It landed in tall grass by the tracks and disappeared without further sound despite a brief wait.

The witness was returning down the canyon after fishing and exploring when a tall, dark, muscular creature crossed the road toward a meadow. It was watched for a few strides with a bent, arm-swinging gait, then seen crossing back at a slower pace as if avoiding an oncoming truck and people in the meadow. The witness believed they were the only observer and later found large tracks on a return visit.

The witness was pulling into the driveway late at night when she saw a tall grayish figure standing near a bush about 10 feet away in street light. The submitter, her husband, was at the residence and was not a witness. Around the time of the sighting night sounds became quiet and still for about 10 minutes and a dog refused to go outside, then sounds returned to normal.

The witness and companion were driving north at night when they saw a tall, silvery-white bipedal figure running south along the woods edge, then turning east into dense woods about fifteen feet away during a roughly three-second view. The figure was described as slender and athletic, about seven feet tall, with flowing hair on the arms and fast, graceful movement. The next morning they found 20 to 30 tracks of two sizes with visible toes in soft muddy ground nearby, but no photos were taken and rain likely washed the tracks away.

A family driving in the evening on Austin Bridge Road toward Ridge Road encountered a tall animal standing in the road near Mein Mitchell Road. The animal was described as about 9 to 10 feet tall with a bear-like, barrel-chested body standing upright, dark hair, and a wolf-like face with red glowing eyes. After watching for about two minutes from about 200 yards away, the driver turned the vehicle around and took a different route.

A group of teenage girls doing shoreline cleanup heard loud screaming from the woods and then saw a hair-covered biped emerge from a marsh onto the beach. The creature appeared startled, took cover behind driftwood, and watched them from a crouch for several minutes. The frightened group fled to their van and left the beach.

A couple driving on Highway 2 between Moncton and Sackville in June 2006 saw a dark bipedal figure cross a clearing about 100 yards away. Both occupants watched it for several seconds as it traveled between forested areas.

He watched through binoculars a tall dark figure walking upright through open grass for a minute or more before it disappeared into brush behind a rise. He estimated it was 6-7 feet tall and covered several hundred meters quickly without running.
