The witness was hunting on a relative's timber land and walking back to a truck on a trail when a noise was heard by a dried riverbed. The witness looked through a gun scope and saw a large black hair-covered creature 30 to 40 yards away running away through dense brush like a person with arms raised. After it went out of sight the witness sprinted back to the truck and left.

The witness was riding as a passenger northbound on Highway 20 toward Deception Pass Bridge in the afternoon. While looking out the passenger window into the treeline, she saw a humanlike, apparently unclothed figure sitting on a branch, leaning out and holding on with one arm while watching traffic below. The view lasted about two seconds and was backlit, showing only an outline with a sloping head; the driver did not see it and they did not turn around.

They heard pounding on a tree, thrashing and shaking of vegetation, and screaming/squealing sounds, and encountered a very foul rotting-meat odor that was strong near the truck. A young companion reportedly saw a black, hairy, muscular animal about six feet tall descend from a tree and shake brush, though the face could not be seen.

The witness was driving southbound with a companion in the afternoon when both noticed a large dark hairy figure moving through fallen timber beside the road. They described full front-to-back arm swings, massive arms, clumpy blackish hair and no neck, visible from the waist up for about six seconds. The driver stopped and turned around but had no further sighting.

She moved her young child to the porch while her companion remained unaware he was being observed. The witness was night fishing with two companions by a fire on a riverbank. After hearing an unusual noise from across the river, the witness saw a very large, hairy figure moving in the dark. When a flashlight was shone on it, the figure quickly disappeared into the woods and was not seen again that night.

In 2006 the witness, working as a forest ranger, was parked by a road near an airport waiting to check woodcutters' permits around sundown. A tall, long-haired figure walking on the right side of the road crossed in front of the van, forcing a hard stop, then stood on the left shoulder with its back to the vehicle before leaving into a ditch toward a fence. The witness returned in daylight to measure roadside features for a size estimate of at least eight feet tall and found no hair or tracks.

The witness then saw a dark brown leg and face of a creature leaning under a fir limb about 20 feet away. The witness left to get crew members, who returned but saw nothing and all left the area because they felt spooked.

While checking nets during a late-night bat survey, the witness and two coworkers heard a whoop and then saw a tall hair-covered biped cross a dirt road in front of them. The creature looked at them, took two steps up an embankment and disappeared. The group fled and later returned with two more people to find large footprints in mud and trampled vegetation before leaving the site.

In July 2006 the witness was biking through a swampy, wooded area toward a friend's house in the late afternoon. Near a knoll the witness heard sticks breaking and footsteps, then saw a tall dark figure to the side and heard a frightening vocalization. The witness screamed and pedaled away fast while continuing to hear breaking sticks, and the creature reportedly fled bipedally in the opposite direction during about ten seconds of observation.
