Three children walking and biking on a wooded bike path near a lake in the afternoon watched a thin grey-haired biped step out of the woods, cross the path, and enter the woods on the other side. The creature did not look at them, vocalize, or act threateningly, and the sighting lasted only seconds. The witnesses then ran back to a house, scared.
Memory of a daylight sighting as a passenger on Old Hwy. 94 east of Jefferson City
The witness, riding as a passenger on a daytime leisure drive, spotted a large hairy humanoid on its hands and knees beside a round hay bale about 20 feet off the road. The creature was focused on picking something off the ground and did not react to the car. After passing, the witness alerted the driver, who also glimpsed it in the mirror, but they did not turn around after the witness objected out of fear.

The witness was driving east in the early morning to go mushroom hunting when a large dark hairy animal crossed the road toward a cedar thicket. The animal was estimated at six feet tall, with heavy shoulders and a human-like walk with swinging arms, then hurried and ran into cover. The witness stopped with the engine off to listen, heard nothing, then continued on and avoided stopping at the crossing site on the way home.

About seven years ago a group camping near a secluded lake sat around a campfire late at night. A small bipedal figure about four feet tall emerged from the woods, ran toward the lake in moonlight, circled while waving its arms and vocalizing, then ran back into the woods. The group searched in the morning but found no tracks on the hard ground.

The witness was fishing along Spring River in the evening and moved downstream around oak trees. He claims to have watched a single large, reddish-brown, hair-covered figure walk from the stream across an open field into the woods for several minutes. He did not follow it because he was alone, and a return visit the next day found no definitive footprints.

The witness was riding a four-wheeler on an old gravel road in a rural area with a cornfield on one side and woods on the other. From a distance the witness saw a figure first thought to be a dog, then recognized as man-like as they got closer. The figure rose from a kneeling position, moved to the roadway, looked at the witness, and then went into the woods. The witness paused briefly and then turned around and rode away, afraid it might return.

The witness claims they were sitting alone fishing on a riverbank in the early evening when they heard prolonged rustling and noticed a strong foul odor growing stronger. After about 10-15 minutes they turned to see a very tall, broad, dingy-brown hairy figure standing 20-30 yards away staring at them without moving or making sound. After a brief stare-down the witness dropped their fishing pole and ran about a half-mile to their car and drove home, and states they have never returned to the spot.

The creature turned to look at them, showed yellow eye shine, took a few steps across the lane and disappeared. Two companions walking a hillside trail at night heard a loud snap and saw two large bipedal figures silhouetted against city lights. After one companion shouted, a second shorter figure stood up beside the taller slumped figure, and both fled on two legs crashing through small trees. The witnesses estimated the taller figure at 7.5 to 8 feet tall, hid at the fire tower overnight, and noted broken limbs and a sweet unpleasant odor in the area the next morning.

The witness was bowhunting in the evening along a creek and field dike when rustling was heard behind. A large bipedal creature came over the dike, descended the near side to close range, paused to look around, then walked away along the creek out of sight. When the witness looked away to decide which way to run, the creature was gone, and the witness ran back to the friend's house and got a ride home.
