Late at night the witness took a puppy on a leash toward the woodline behind the house and heard shuffling in the brush. A very tall, very wide dark figure stood up nearby, showing a lighter chest or stomach area in the moonlight. The witness screamed and ran inside, after which relatives went out with a light and reported seeing a large two-legged shadow run up the brushy hill and disappear while staying just out of sight.

The witness was riding an ATV uphill with a young relative when a loud thumping sound prompted a look behind. The witness saw a very tall, hairy, human-like creature chasing them while carrying a small log. A couple having a picnic hiked a short distance into the woods with their dog when they heard loud howling noises that seemed to move parallel to them. They then watched a nearly 8-foot-tall dark figure looking at them for about 10 seconds before it walked upright away deeper into the woods. After returning to their picnic area they heard very loud vocalizations again nearby, believed it had followed them, and ran for their vehicle.
