After their boat motor failed, two companions camped overnight by a campfire on the riverbank. Around midnight they heard something approaching through the woods, followed by loud growling, grunting, stomping and tree knocks. One of them shone a light across the narrow river and saw a head, shoulder and red eyes looking back before it retreated, continuing noise for over an hour. They left at first light and were later towed back to the landing.

The witness was trail riding in a remote forest area and became stuck in a mud hole, waiting hours for help. Hearing repeated knocking like something hitting a tree, the witness walked about 300 yards toward the sound and saw a very large hairy biped striking a pine with a stick. After stepping on a stick while backing away, the witness was noticed by the creature, which turned its whole body to look before running away on two legs carrying the stick, moving gracefully and silently.

The witness stopped in a swampy area to target shoot and was reloading when he heard noise behind him. He turned and saw an ape-like biped watching from behind a tree a short distance away, which made a deep vocal sound. He ran to his car, saw the creature moving away through the trees, and left quickly.

The witness was driving at night with high beams when a blueish-grey tailless creature crossed the road in front of the car, initially on all fours or bent over with its hindquarters high. On reaching the far side it stood erect and continued running bipedally into the woods, glancing toward the car and showing a flat pale face with large eyes. The companion in the car was asleep and did not see it.

The witness was driving north on the highway in the afternoon when she noticed a hair-covered, human-like figure walking quickly parallel to the road in a grassy meadow near the woodline. As she pulled alongside it, the figure turned its whole body, bent its head, and walked into dense brush where it disappeared. Afterward she noticed a strong rotten-egg/sulphur odor in her car that lasted about 10 minutes.

The witness was driving on a wooded back road in Ocala in the early afternoon when an animal emerged from the woods and crossed the road. It initially moved on all fours, then stood and walked bipedally across the pavement before pausing at the tree line to look at the witness. The witness described a large dark-brown shaggy animal about 7 feet tall with primate-like arms and hands and no bear-like ears or muzzle, which then disappeared into the woods.

The witness was driving on I-95 when traffic ahead braked and occupants pointed toward the roadside. The witness then saw a tall, black-haired bipedal figure walking among cypress trees behind a fence about fifteen feet from the road. The figure was striding away, so facial features were not seen.

The witness became stranded alone when a car sank in soft sand on a remote forest road. While digging out the tires, the witness was struck by a thrown rock, then heard movement, footsteps and loud hissing vocalizations from the surrounding brush. A large wet adult creature and a smaller juvenile were then seen at close range crossing the road, throwing material at the car, before disappearing into the forest.

At dusk in 2012 the witness was sitting alone in a tree stand during archery season. He heard a loud scream from a nearby swamp, then heard heavy footsteps circling behind him where he could not see. An object was thrown through the trees over him and a stone struck the tree he was in, after which he yelled toward the sounds and left for his truck.

The witness claims that while hog hunting near a roadside ditch, he saw a large brown bipedal creature crouching by the road. The creature reportedly stood, walked back and forth across the road, then crouched again before walking away on two legs toward a swamp. The witness was walking his two dogs behind his house in the early evening when the dogs froze staring at the woods and then fled inside. The witness then watched what he first thought was a 3- to 4-foot stump stand up into a 7- to 8-foot hair-covered biped. The creature grunted, walked deeper into the woods with heavy steps in a zig-zag path, glanced back with a growl, and disappeared near a gas-line dirt road, leaving a wet-dog and pine-sap odor.

The creature was described as tall and thickly built with long hair, a conical head, very long arms and very large feet, running upright without looking at the car. Shortly after the meeting he inspected the spot and found crushed undergrowth and a trail, estimating the figure's height at about eight feet by comparing to tree limbs. No other members of the group appeared to notice the figure.

The witness and a relative were night fishing while parked in their car when they heard loud howling and grunting that grew closer. After waiting, they drove away and their headlights illuminated a very tall, hairy biped crossing the road in long strides before going under a bridge toward the water.

The witness was driving eastbound on the interstate in late morning when a large dark figure stepped out from trees beside the highway, looked toward traffic, then returned to the woods. The witness passed within about 30 feet but had only a brief view at highway speed and noted long arms, straight shaggy hair, and a slight hunch, with the face obscured by an arm. A companion in the car did not see the figure.

After watching it for several seconds as it walked away, the group left the campsite.
