Night time road crossing near Strawberry, Arizona
The witness and a companion were driving slowly on a dirt lane through ponderosa pine forest at night when their headlights illuminated a tall hair-covered figure crossing from left to right in front of the car. The figure walked upright with a human-like gait and continued into the woods without looking at or reacting to the car. The witness estimated it at about seven feet tall and 400 pounds with camel-colored hair and a barrel chest.
Morning sighting in the Lukachukai Mountains of northeast Arizona
The witness was deer hunting on a mountain ridge in the morning when separated from companions. He heard brush crashing and saw a very large black hairy biped moving downhill through tall oak brush toward a trail and into the forest, smelling a strong musky odor. He watched it through his rifle scope but did not shoot, then left by a road while hearing movement alongside and firing once to scare it.

The witness was driving on a dirt road near Prescott at dusk when a large ape-like animal appeared moving parallel to the road just inside the tree line. The witness braked to a stop and watched it walk through a gap in the trees about 100 meters away for about 10 seconds before it disappeared into the forest. The animal was described as tall, very muscular and reddish-brown with longer arm hair and little or no neck, and it never looked toward the car.

A 13-year-old witness fishing alone along a riverbank heard heavy thumping footsteps and heavy breathing from dense woods behind him and felt watched. After waiting motionless against a tree for about 20 minutes, he briefly saw a tall shaggy dark brown-black animal moving away at an angle about 35-40 feet away. The animal was in view only a few seconds before disappearing into thick woods.
