While hunting at dawn in the Nestor Peak area in fall 1982, the witness watched a smaller hairy biped notice him, scream and crouch to hide. A much larger similar animal then approached, touched the smaller one, and stared at the witness while breathing heavily, before the two walked uphill. A third slightly smaller animal joined them at the ridgetop and all three disappeared over the hill into the canyon.

While driving to the summit with his wife, the witness noticed a dark figure sitting at the base of a tree that he first mistook for a hunter. The figure stood up, walked across the road behind their vehicle, paused about 30 seconds to look at them, then descended a steep hillside out of sight. The witness estimated it at about 8 feet tall by a nearby tree and described it as massive, dark brown and long-haired with wide shoulders and long arms.

The witness was walking north along a highway in daylight when he noticed a tall, hairy figure standing in brush across the road. They looked at each other for less than a minute and the witness did not feel threatened. When he glanced toward a relative's driveway and looked back, the figure was gone.

Two companions hiking back toward camp in the early evening saw a large upright figure walking away from them on a fire road about 200 yards ahead. They watched for about a minute as it paused, moved to the side of the road, then continued quickly and disappeared around a bend or into the forest. They estimated it was over six feet tall and heavy, appearing naked or covered in brown fur.

The witness was driving east on Highway 101 after work when headlights revealed a tall hair-covered figure. The figure crossed the four-lane highway north to south in a few rapid, fluid strides, glanced toward the vehicle, and disappeared into tall dry grass toward the foothills.

After telling other campers at dinner, the group returned and found large manlike footprints in hard ground. When footsteps were heard again, the witness and another camper chased the source uphill, heard it running away, and found only toe-prints.

The witness, then about seven and alone, went to play in the woods behind the house and climbed through a ditch draining into a creek. On climbing out, the witness saw a reddish-brown figure standing motionless and staring from a bamboo thicket. The witness slowly backed away without turning and then ran from the woods.

On graduation night in 1982, the witness hid at the edge of a field to blow a predator call as a prank on camping classmates. After calling without effect, the witness heard a branch snap, turned with a flashlight, and saw a tall male sasquatch-like figure about 10 feet away holding brush aside. After a few seconds the witness switched off the light, heard a noise, and the figure was gone when the light returned.

The sighting lasted about 10 seconds and no one else in the truck was awake to see it. The witness was dropped at a remote bridge site about 10 minutes later and spent the night there.
