The witness and a companion were backpacking and bushwhacking toward a fire road in the evening. After hearing a strange whistle and footsteps near a stream, they stopped in a meadow. Each then watched a separate upright, two-legged creature cross the area, one dark and one dirty-white, before the pair left quickly for the fire road.
