The witness was driving while towing a trailer to a campsite with his wife and daughter when he and his wife saw a pitch-black hair-covered figure by the highway. The figure stepped from the road into the forest and was gone when they looked for a person or vehicle nearby. The witness returned about an hour later to search for tracks but found none because the ground was dry and hard.

The witness went to the front door with a pistol and flashlight and saw a large figure crouched in tall grass outside a hot-wire fence. The figure then stood on two legs and ran bipedally along the fence while the witness tracked it briefly before retreating inside. A later search of the area found only disturbed grass and no footprints.
