The witness was riding as a passenger with a relative driving home when they crossed a bridge over a river. She spotted a reddish-brown fur-covered figure standing on the bank north of the bridge, a few feet from the water and out from the treeline. Both occupants saw it briefly, but she got the better look and noted visible arms with hands darker than the body fur. The estimated distance was 150 to 200 feet, and the spot was later under higher water.

The sighting lasted about a minute; when the witness looked down while walking toward it and then back up, the creature was gone.
