The witness went with two companions to a river area to swim and fish and wandered a short distance away. After hearing thumping, the witness saw a tall hairy figure on a hill partially concealed by brush and a boulder looking down. They observed each other for about a minute before the witness fled to the car and drove home with the companions.

The witness stopped while riding an ATV on a logging road in the early morning and heard two loud howls. Shortly after the second howl he saw a large dark shaggy human-like figure downslope with its hands around an aspen tree, leaning out and staring at him. After several minutes of remaining motionless the figure turned and walked away downhill, and the witness left the area.

After fishing, the witness sat on the bed of his truck at a parking area above a swamp at night. He watched a dark figure with shining eyes approach to within about 10 yards. After he whistled to announce his presence, the figure stood upright on two legs and retreated while watching him, tripped and got back up, then disappeared behind trees. He left immediately and did not return for some time.

On the evening of Feb. 16, 2009, the reporter's brother called to say he had seen an unknown figure in his yard near his chicken house. The figure was in profile and angled so it could watch the house and driveway, appeared aware of being seen, and was gone when the brother stepped onto his screened porch after yelling. The witness was driving west on a highway in the afternoon when he noticed a stationary stocky figure covered in reddish long hair standing beyond a fallow field in front of woods. He saw only the upper body and head for about three seconds before a bank and foliage blocked the view. His companion was asleep and saw nothing, and he was unable to stop or return to the location.

The witness was riding at the back of a large group of ATVs at night through a muddy, wooded trail. As he approached a large tree, he made eye contact with a tall, muscular, hair-covered figure pressed flat against the tree with its hands on the trunk. After a stare lasting about 15 seconds, the witness rode past within a few feet, looked back, and saw the figure take one quick step and disappear into the darkness.

After noticing a strong rotten-egg and wet-dog odor, the witness saw a large dark hair-covered figure standing by a palm 300-500 yards away and facing the road. The view lasted only a few seconds before roadside trees blocked it. After turning around and returning, the figure was gone but a strange smell lingered.
