While crossing the bridge the companion pointed over the south side, and the witness saw a dark-brown fur-covered ape-like figure with very massive shoulders crouching on the east bank about twenty feet below looking into the water. After watching for about five to seven seconds, the two children ran east to the companion's home.

After hearing twigs crunching as something circled their position, those in the back seat noticed a figure behind the vehicle. They walked down the road and up toward old stumps where a short yellow-haired individual kept stumps between itself and them. The witness and at least one other person parked on a dirt road near a stream at night. They heard sloshing in the water and later saw a large figure run across the road ahead of the headlights and heard heavy steps in sagebrush. Using a spotlight they glimpsed a tall dark primate-like figure cross in front of a large boulder and enter dense timber.

Four people were coon hunting with hounds on a full-moon night in late fall and were walking out toward the truck when the dogs bolted. The witness, left alone in standing corn, heard a loud scream approaching and was knocked down by a bent-over thing carrying a deer on its shoulder, which dropped the deer and fled. The group found the deer alive but severely injured with a twisted hind leg and broken antlers; a responding game warden shot it and released it to them, and dressing showed a dislocated hip, broken backbone and badly bruised meat.

In fall 1974 the witness was bowhunting and driving along the Niobrara River when he stopped to check a ravine. He saw a tall coal-colored hairy creature about 40 to 50 feet away watching him for about two seconds before it turned and ran south up the ravine on two feet. He stayed parked a few minutes afterward and initially told no one.
