Close-range, 2-witness observation of a Sasquatch at 10pm outside off-grid cabin 35 crow miles due north of Coos Bay
A couple sitting in their off-grid cabin at night heard loud bangs on the cabin twice. The husband looked from a dark bedroom toward the lit generator shed and both saw a large reddish-brown hairy biped watching for about two minutes before it walked into the woods. The shaken couple fled with their dogs and guns, returning the next morning to estimate its height and find trampled vegetation.

She noticed a strong sewage-like smell and heard sticks breaking beside the house. While camping overnight for an archery hunt, a witness and a relative reported hearing mumbling vocalizations and footsteps around their tent for hours. The relative reported seeing a large hand press the tent wall, and both later reported seeing large upright figures near the truck and treeline, one illuminated by flashlight. After the figures continued circling the camp, the two packed the tent without breaking it down and drove away around 4 a.m.

A couple driving to a hunting spot in late morning saw a tall hairy biped running alongside their truck near Highway 66. The creature came to the far side of the highway and then veered away in a wide arc, watched for about thirty seconds. The wife saw the most detail when it looked toward the vehicle, noting facial features, long hair, wide shoulders and large hands and feet.

The witness drove a companion by ATV to a high switchback at sunset so the companion could get phone reception, then stepped away to give privacy. Hearing a deep warning growl from a tree cluster between them, the witness drew a sidearm and moved to get between the companion and the sound. While doing so, the witness watched a very large, fast, hair-covered creature cross open growth to reach the trees, after which it went silent, and both left promptly.

The witness was walking alone on an ATV trail toward a hunting clearing in early morning darkness. A large upright animal crossed the trail in two strides, then moved quickly downhill as the witness illuminated it with a flashlight for a few seconds. The witness described a tall, muscular, dark-furred animal and then returned to the vehicle and left.

On the morning of October 5 2009 the witness and a companion were driving toward a hunting area when two black upright figures about seven feet tall ran across the road and into dense brush. The witness drove closer and then got out to listen but heard nothing and the figures were gone. The party left the woods that night and returned days later with a relative to find odor, snapped small trees, a possible print, and scat.

Two companions were driving west on Highway 26 after a fishing trip when they slowed near stopped cars. An ape-like creature sprang from the woods very close to their car and ran behind it across the road from north to south, moving on its knuckles with unusual quickness and nearly being hit by a following car. Other stopped drivers honked during the crossing.

The witness and her daughter stopped at a park outside Cave Junction in winter and walked down to the river. The witness noticed a very large dark human-like figure wading in the river at a distance, appearing to look down and move toward them. After the figure looked up, the witness panicked, yelled to run, and they fled to the car and drove back toward town.

The witness was picking mushrooms while cattle behind him acted spooked for hours. After hiking to the road at night, a tall hairy biped ran toward him, stopped about 100 feet away breathing heavily, then bounded across the road and brush without an audible landing. The witness then heard chattering sounds surrounding him while walking out.

The witness was driving east on Highway 138 near Cascade Summit Pass in the early evening. About 50 yards ahead, a large very dark humanoid figure emerged from the woods and crossed the roadway to the south with long, fast strides. It disappeared into the woods before the witness reached the spot and appeared dark from head to foot.

The figure crossed from left to right in a few strides and disappeared over the roadside bank. After stopping and backing up to the spot, the witness reported a musty smell, faint brush movement, and a feeling of being watched before driving away.

The crossing lasted about three seconds and the companion was certain it was on two legs. The companion became frightened and urged them to keep driving as fast as possible.

During an overnight fishing trip the witness and his girlfriend were sleeping in a parked vehicle near a cabin when they noticed a tall hair-covered figure standing at the tree line and two smaller crouched figures near a truck. After alerting a companion in the cabin, the witness started the vehicle to shine lights on the figures, which then fled into the trees. A companion reported something running across the road as they drove, and later the group heard commotion near the lake.

The witness was walking on a shaded path near a pond while relatives fished nearby. The witness saw a black, skinny, short-haired figure about six feet tall leaning over drinking from a stream. When the witness approached, the figure stood quickly on two legs, grabbed a tree, and moved rapidly up a hill.

The witness was walking in woods behind the house in late afternoon when rustling was heard ahead. A very tall dark hairy biped stepped into a small clearing about 20 yards away, looked at the witness, then turned and left into the tree line. Two motorists driving westbound on the freeway at night reported a very tall, thin, hair-covered biped crossing in front of their car toward the river. They narrowly missed striking it and lost sight of it at the guardrail. They then called a relative by cell phone to report what had happened.
