As a child walking home from a relative's house, the witness saw a tall hairy figure standing in a roadside ditch watching him. He ran back to get his relative, and they returned together with a shotgun to find the figure still there watching. As they walked down toward it they lost sight of it, and it was gone when they reached the spot.

The witness then walked around the body, noting its very large size, dark brown long hair, bare palms with opposed thumbs, and flat five-toed feet estimated around fifteen inches, before leaving quickly out of fear and concern about hunting without a license. The account was kept private for about thirty years until the witness recognized similar creatures in published film and began speaking about it.

A prospector camping alone in coastal mountains awoke at night to being carried inside his sleeping bag for hours to a small enclosed valley. There he encountered four hair-covered individuals described as a family group and was held for about six days living on remaining canned food. He gained favor with the younger ones using snuff and handmade utensils, then incapacitated the adult male with a large dose of snuff and escaped during the resulting commotion, hiking south to a logging camp for help.

The witness, then 14, was hunting grouse alone with a dog on overgrown trails in northern Ontario in the morning. After noticing a strong odor and the dog fleeing, a large upright hair-covered creature rose from tall grass nearby, looked briefly, and crossed the trail silently into brush. The witness froze, then ran back the way they came while hearing branches breaking as the creature moved away.

The witness was riding in the back seat of a car driving up a mountain dirt road in the evening to watch the sky. In the headlights at a hairpin where a creek crossed the road, she saw a tall grey hairy figure bent over the creek. It stood, took a long stride, stepped up a steep dirt bank and disappeared into trees within moments. A companion in the back seat also saw it and was frightened, while the two occupants in the front seat were looking elsewhere and saw nothing.

On a warm summer night in 1993, the witness rode with two companions in a truck from the lakeside cabin toward a property above. In the headlights about 100 metres away they saw a small dark hairy creature crouched on all fours in the road with long straight legs, no visible tail or protruding ears, and large bright shining eyes. After a moment of sudden fear the group drove up a driveway, discussed the sighting briefly, and returned minutes later to find nothing.

The witness was driving on Route 95 through forested wilderness in early evening daylight. A large, dark, hairy creature crossed the southbound lanes from the treed median to the woods, moving swiftly, smoothly and fully erect. The witness stopped the car and looked into the woods where it went but saw no further trace. Three companions in the car were dozing and did not see it.

In fall 2000 the wife reportedly saw a large dark figure walk across a field about 300 yards from home and into woods bordering a lake. The brief 3-5 second view was described as taller than five feet based on fence posts, stocky with very large shoulders, dark brown to black hair, and walking on two legs, causing an initial bear impression to be dismissed. The account was submitted by her husband along with later family experiences in the same wooded swamp-lake area.

The witness and his son reportedly watched a dark animal from about three-tenths of a mile away in a flat river-bottom area. They observed it walk several hundred feet along the river bank before it went out of sight around a bend. The witness was riding a pony bareback on a back road when the animal stopped at the top of a hill. About 400 feet ahead, a large reddish-brown hairy biped with very long arms was walking toward them on the road. The pony reared, turned, and bolted back downhill to a nearby yard. Later the witness returned with a relative, who found broken branches where the creature appeared to have left the road for the woods.

Before school the witness and his mother saw a large brown biped moving along a powerline toward woods behind their home. The witness ran toward the treeline and watched the creature pause and turn its upper body to look at him from about 50 yards, then stride away down a creekbed and disappear. Later that day he and his father found large heel impressions where it had leapt off a bank.

In fall 1986 the witness was sitting in a parked truck at night in Hell's Hollow talking with a companion. A large dark-brown biped estimated at 7 to 8 feet tall walked past within a few feet of the front of the truck and disappeared into thick brush. The witness drove away quickly and believed the companion had not seen the figure.
