A large bipedal figure emerged from dense woods and walked along a pipeline clearing toward his position, then turned to face him after hearing his rifle safety click, walked backward briefly, spun around and reentered the woods. A larger tree nearby then shook violently, and after sunrise the witness and his companion found worn trails and a footprint but no clear tracks.

A strong odor and rustling woke the witness to see a small reddish-brown hair-covered biped below eating discarded fruit. Two people hunting deer near a creek crossing watched a shape first mistaken for a stump move, crouch, stand upright and stretch. The witness observed through a rifle scope an apelike face and hair-covered body moving along the creek for about ten minutes. As they backed away, a growl and a single loud scream were heard from its direction before it ran and leapt across the creek, after which the pair left.

A group of teenagers hiked to an abandoned cabin in wooded hills at night. Three companions on the porch reported seeing a tall, dark-haired, hunched figure run across a trail into the woods. The group left immediately and avoided returning to the cabin at night.

The witness was hunting and walking back to a vehicle when they heard noises in brush and across a field. They crouched in brush and saw a large dark brown creature crouching across the field, which then stood erect, grunted, raised its left arm, and walked back into the woods. The figure paused briefly in front of a warning sign, looked toward the vehicle, then went over the opposite embankment out of view. The next morning the witness, sleeping on a couch by large front windows, saw a very tall brown human-like hairy creature in the clearing outside. After watching for several minutes, the creature approached, climbed a bank, and struck the house wall hard enough to wake the companion.

The animal eventually moved back into the forest and the frightened witness ran back to the trail.
