The witness was driving northbound on Sly Park Road before dawn when the high beams revealed a large animal standing on two legs beside the road. The animal dropped to all fours, crossed to the opposite side into roadside brush, then watched the vehicle from the brush where its face was seen close to the passenger window. The witness later estimated its height at about eight feet based on the roadside drop-off and concluded it was not a bear.

A couple driving slowly at night in snow claim a very tall, dark, massive figure crossed the highway in front of their truck and nearby cars while illuminated by headlights. During deer season in November 2002, the witness was walking a road near Phillips looking for deer when he saw an upright figure coming toward him. He first thought it was a black bear but, viewing it through a rifle scope from about 200 yards, concluded it was man-like and not a bear or human. When the witness crouched, the figure stopped then ran on two legs into an alder swamp, leaping over water and moving quickly through difficult bog ground.

The witness was at work in the morning and looked out a window, spotting a tall dark figure walking beside a dilapidated house about 30 to 40 yards away. The figure was seen from behind as it walked away with long strides and swinging arms. The witness called to coworkers, but no one else saw it and no tracks were checked.

Two very large, barrel-chested bipedal figures crossed the road in front of the cars with a high-stepping march, appearing unbothered by the vehicles and lights. A companion reported something running across the road as they drove, and later the group heard commotion near the lake.

The witness reports driving north on a highway and noticing a gray, hair-covered figure across the river near a creek inlet. After pulling into a turnout, the witness watched the figure repeatedly bend from the hips while appearing to move rocks or forage in the water. The figure then stood upright and looked toward the witness before resuming its activity, and the witness left before it did.

The witness was driving on a rural road in the morning when a figure crossed the road ahead. The witness stopped and watched a tall, reddish-brown haired, human-like and ape-like figure standing about 50 feet away facing him for about five minutes. The figure then walked into the woods, and a later check found no footprints because the ground was too hard.

A large upright creature crossed the clearing quickly, causing the moose to flee, then circled to within about 50 yards of the stand. The creature hid behind willows and watched the witness for 30-40 minutes before leaving to the northeast.

The witness was driving to work along a gravel river road in the early afternoon, hunting partridge along the way. About 30 to 40 yards ahead, the witness saw a tall, thin, dark-haired figure emerge from pines, pause to look toward the vehicle, then turn and run parallel to the road. Frightened, the witness reversed, loaded a shotgun, waited for another vehicle, then followed it past the area without finding sign.

The witness was returning on foot to camp at night after sitting and hunting in a mountain park. He heard steps, snapping and rustling following him for some distance to an open moonlit bald. After waiting there and then entering timber on the far side, he looked back and saw a large dark shape where he had sat stand up and come toward him; after he shouted it ran into the trees.

Late at night while driving on a dirt service road for utility work, the witness saw a tall, thin brown-haired creature step into the headlights and cross the road at an angle. The witness watched for about 15 seconds as it took a few long strides between juniper trees before disappearing. After driving away in fear, the witness returned the next day with a co-worker and found widely spaced footprints leading east.

The witness was fishing from a boat with two young companions on Riffe Lake late in the morning when they spotted a large hairy biped about 150 yards away in a clearcut. They watched for several minutes as it walked away, paused to face and stare at them, then continued walking while looking back before disappearing into timber. The witness stated the subject was not human and was not a bear.
