The witness and a companion got lost while walking on trails near a cabin and headed for the main road to get their bearings. On the road they saw a huge black hair-covered figure about forty to fifty feet away that at first looked like a man. After exchanging looks, the figure sprinted away on two feet across the road into the woods, moving much faster than a human.

The witness and her father were driving south on a sandy forest road when they noticed a dark figure ahead in the distance. As their car approached, the figure crossed the road in front of them and disappeared into thick pine woods. The witness was driving at night behind another car when both vehicles stopped for a tall, dark, manlike figure crossing the road in the headlights. The figure was described as 8-9 feet tall with very long arms and a strong musk odor that lingered after it left. It reportedly broke the top off a barbed-wire fence post, went over the fence, and disappeared into the woods. The next day the witness found a broken post, bent wire, and broken brush leading into the treeline.

Two witnesses entering the woods to play paintball heard a noise and saw a very large upright black creature run across the trail ahead of them. The creature looked toward them, accelerated, climbed a steep bank and disappeared into the woods within seconds.

The witness was driving at night near Monkey Mountain when a tall, very thin creature crossed the road in front of the vehicle in about three unhurried strides. The creature came from a steep hillside heading toward river areas and did not appear to notice the vehicle. It was described as about seven feet tall with sparse, long grayish hair, leaning forward as it walked.

While driving to work before dawn on a logging road, the witness encountered a dark figure on the road and initially assumed it was a bear. As headlights illuminated it, the figure was seen running bipedally down the road for about 100 feet before veering off through a ditch and up a bank into bushes. The witness described a tall, dark-haired, unclothed biped with lighter patches on its back and rump that never looked back. Later that day the witness found and photographed indistinct footprints at the site.

The witness was driving a truck with his son on a gravel road beside railroad tracks in daylight. A small reddish-brown hair-covered biped leaped across the road in mid-air directly in front of the truck, nearly being hit. It landed in tall grass by the tracks and disappeared without further sound despite a brief wait.

The witness was returning down the canyon after fishing and exploring when a tall, dark, muscular creature crossed the road toward a meadow. It was watched for a few strides with a bent, arm-swinging gait, then seen crossing back at a slower pace as if avoiding an oncoming truck and people in the meadow. The witness believed they were the only observer and later found large tracks on a return visit.

The witness was pulling into the driveway late at night when she saw a tall grayish figure standing near a bush about 10 feet away in street light. The submitter, her husband, was at the residence and was not a witness. Around the time of the sighting night sounds became quiet and still for about 10 minutes and a dog refused to go outside, then sounds returned to normal.

A family driving in the evening on Austin Bridge Road toward Ridge Road encountered a tall animal standing in the road near Mein Mitchell Road. The animal was described as about 9 to 10 feet tall with a bear-like, barrel-chested body standing upright, dark hair, and a wolf-like face with red glowing eyes. After watching for about two minutes from about 200 yards away, the driver turned the vehicle around and took a different route.

A group of teenage girls doing shoreline cleanup heard loud screaming from the woods and then saw a hair-covered biped emerge from a marsh onto the beach. The creature appeared startled, took cover behind driftwood, and watched them from a crouch for several minutes. The frightened group fled to their van and left the beach.

A couple driving on Highway 2 between Moncton and Sackville in June 2006 saw a dark bipedal figure cross a clearing about 100 yards away. The figure moved with long strides and outstretched arms, appeared 6-7 feet tall with a stocky build and dark fur, and showed no clothes or facial features. Both occupants watched it for several seconds as it traveled between forested areas.

They watched it alternate between the road and ditch until it entered the woods out of sight. Afterward a relative and another person found multiple footprints along the road and photographed the clearest track.

The witness was driving on Highway 32 at dusk when she noticed a small dark-haired animal at the roadside eating from a trash bag in the ditch. As she approached and honked, the animal rose onto its hind legs and ran hunched over into an adjacent field. She stopped to search with her headlights but could not relocate it.

The figure stayed motionless and stiff as the car passed very close, with the sighting lasting about ten seconds. The witness continued driving without stopping and later told relatives, who were skeptical.
