After a few minutes the sounds and movement stopped and the source left without being seen.

After stepping out of the truck, the witness came face to face with a giant hairy biped standing close by. He retreated to the truck, where his wife had watched through the windshield, and they watched and heard the creature move back into dense forest breaking branches.

The witness slowly backed away looking down, the animal followed a short distance then turned, paused near a bushy spot, and walked into the woods. The witness rejoined companions who laughed, and has not returned to the area.

They watched a tall dark-haired biped run down the opposite slope toward them, snapping small trees in its path. They followed a short distance to a ridge and found freshly broken lower tree branches up to about ten feet high and large human-like foot impressions in the duff that lacked claw marks. The source of the noise was gone by the time they reached the top, and they returned cross-country to the main trail.

The witness group was in an open field when they heard a howling/growling noise from the tree line. They approached and saw a creature crouched down that then stood about eight feet tall before running quickly toward a swamp. They did not follow into the swamp but found bark shredded from the tree where it had been.
