The witness was fishing downstream from family members when he briefly saw the lower legs of a dark figure stepping from the creek onto the bank and into dense brush. He searched the spot and found wet marks on rocks, disturbed soil, and dung, which companions helped videotape. He concluded the figure was unlikely to be human given the remote, rugged terrain.

The witness and a coworker were driving when a tall hairy biped carrying an animal carcass over its shoulder crossed the road ahead of them from east to west during a rain squall. The crossing lasted only a few seconds before the creature disappeared into a creek bed. The next day they found partial footprints along the creek bank but lost the trail in dense undergrowth.
