The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

The occupants of a pickup became lost on logging roads late at night and stopped after the reporter noticed huge glowing eyes ahead. The reporter stared at the eyes and then made out a large black bulky form with massive forearms that stayed motionless in the headlights. The form then moved rapidly up a brushy hillside as the group drove away frightened.

The witness was riding as a passenger northbound on Highway 20 toward Deception Pass Bridge in the afternoon. While looking out the passenger window into the treeline, she saw a humanlike, apparently unclothed figure sitting on a branch, leaning out and holding on with one arm while watching traffic below. The view lasted about two seconds and was backlit, showing only an outline with a sloping head; the driver did not see it and they did not turn around.

While trying to restart it, the witness noticed a large man-like figure standing at the roadside beyond the headlights. Two forestry workers resurveying a remote allotment for a timber harvest reported being followed at a distance while smelling a heavy stench. During a break they heard large movement in the brush, threw a piece of wood toward the sound, and then saw the backlit shadows of four hair-covered figures behind bushes in a break of sunlight. The witness described two large males standing motionless, a thin female with a hump who vocalized and wrung her hands, and a smaller child-sized figure, before the light faded and the pair left the area to finish work later.

The witness was driving home at night on Hwy 105 when a very large figure came from a roadside bank and crossed the road in a couple of huge strides toward the bay side. The figure was described as having a large rounded head and long arms swinging opposite its feet, but no other details were visible in the dark, foggy conditions. The witness reports an animal path remains visible at the crossing location.

After midnight while driving west toward Elbe, the witness saw a large hairy figure cross the highway ahead and enter fir trees. As the car closed the distance, the figure stepped onto the grass and pushed a fir bough from its face, showing a gorilla-like ear. The witness braked and turned toward the trees but the car stalled and the adult passenger became upset, so the witness left and returned the next day to look for sign.

In late June or early July 1981, the witness was sleeping on the floor of a friend's home when awakened by an unusual humming and grumbling sound. She saw the outline of a large broad-shouldered figure with a muscular arm and hand cupped to look through a high upper window, which she estimated would require at least seven feet of height. The figure looked in for about a minute, then walked around the house into the woods as the humming resumed. A search the next morning found no tracks in the hard-packed dirt.

When approached, the figures moved toward them silently without answering, frightening both witnesses. They fled and hid under a low pine tree for about fifteen minutes, noticing a strong odor and sensing a nearby presence, before running to catch a bus.

The witness, then a teenager on a church group camping trip in the mountains, was sleeping apart from the group and watching the peaks. He noticed the jagged horizon looked smooth and swaying, realized it was the silhouette of a large standing animal at the foot of his sleeping bag, smelled a skunk-cabbage odor, hid under his bag, and later found it gone. Around the same time other children by a rock overhang shouted about seeing a big gorilla-like figure moving and walking away, which the adults dismissed.
