Late night sighting by motorist near Decker Montana
The witness was driving a shuttle van alone at night toward a coal mine near Decker, Montana. A tall, long-haired figure walking on the right side of the road crossed in front of the van, forcing a hard stop, then stood on the left shoulder with its back to the vehicle before leaving into a ditch toward a fence. The witness returned in daylight to measure roadside features for a size estimate of at least eight feet tall and found no hair or tracks.
Trucker couple report daytime road-crossing sighting near Sula
A truck driver and a companion driving south on a highway in Montana reported seeing a large hairy upright figure sprint across the road about 40 feet ahead. The figure crossed in three or four steps and dropped into brush by a river after only a few seconds. Both occupants said they saw it plainly and were certain it was neither a bear nor a person.

The witness was staying at a gold mining camp with a companion in the summer of 1994. In the afternoon the companion was down by the creek while the witness was on a gravel road and saw a tall dark upright figure cross the road toward the creek and disappear into forest. The figure paused and looked at the witness and did not appear afraid.
Motorist sees long-haired upright animal walking across snow-covered road
On a winter night around 11:30 p.m., the witness was traveling home from work near Sidney, Montana when a tall light-haired biped crossed the highway ahead at the end of a coulee guardrail section and continued north without looking toward the witness. The figure was described as well over six feet tall with hair that was darker at the skin than at the tips. The witness was traveling alone, was frightened by the encounter, and did not return the next day to look for tracks in the snow.
