The witness was scouting for a deer stand site in a swampy pine forest in the early afternoon. After hearing a distant splash and nearby snapping limbs, the witness saw a massive ape-like animal running away while grunting. The animal disappeared into the swamp, leaving a strong musk smell. The witness left, unsure what had been seen.

The witness was deer hunting from a stand on wooded acreage in daylight when a tree was seen shaking violently. Looking through a scope, the witness saw a large black-haired creature with a cone-shaped head standing back in the woods swaying side to side for several seconds and noticed a wet-dog-like smell. The witness also reported a teepee-like stick structure and pictures of footprints.

The creature was first seen sitting with its back to him, then stood and faced him from about 25 yards away. After regarding him briefly it walked away into deeper woods. When companions arrived he recounted the sighting and they suggested it was a bear, which he rejected because he had seen a bear earlier that day.

The two stared at each other before the witness ran to the road, hit a barbed-wire fence, and fled.

Three teenagers camping in a field behind a house smelled urine and heard something rushing through nearby woods. They fled toward the house as a tall hairy creature pursued them and later stood over their campfire throwing logs aside. The creature then circled the house and stepped onto the porch during the night before leaving by daylight, with broken branches found the next morning.
