After the witness threw a rock, the figure walked away but followed the group at a distance as they hurried back to their truck, throwing rocks as they went.

In March 2001 at about 4:30 a.m., the witness was driving home from work on back dirt roads when a tall bipedal figure crossed in front of the headlights in two to three strides. The figure stepped over a fence into a field and disappeared from view. It was described as 6-7 feet tall with long arms and long grayish hair, possibly dust-coated, moving in a lumbering fast walk.

On Christmas Eve 2000 two people driving toward Winslow on Highway 87 passed a tall hairy figure beside the road near Jacks Canyon. The figure was seen in the headlights from about fifteen feet away and covered its face against the glare. The driver turned around to look again, but the figure had left at high speed into a nearby canyon, leaving long barefoot tracks in snow.

The witness then saw a very tall hair-covered creature standing behind them that hissed and splashed water toward them before the witness fled. The creature followed briefly then moved away making moaning sounds, and the witness saw a very large four-toed footprint while leaving.

The witness was driving a tractor-trailer south on a dark highway in the early morning when headlights lit a figure on the east side of the road. The figure first appeared bent over, then stood upright as the truck approached, showing wide shoulders, an ape-like face, and yellow eyeshine. The witness passed at highway speed within moments and could not discern fur color.

After the witness honked, it reportedly screamed again and ran into the trees.

The witness awoke around 1:30AM to a rock hitting the hood, then turned on the headlights and saw a tall chocolate-colored creature watching nearby. After about 20-30 seconds it walked away into brush in a few long strides, and the witness left and later contacted authorities.

The witness rolled up the windows and locked the doors out of fear and reported no unusual odor.
